Iron Man 3 will be sequel to Thor and The Avengers

Jon Favreau has talked again about the status of Iron Man 3, stating that the threequel will be a continuation of the big screen adventures of Thor, Hulk, Captain America and The Avengers.
   
While promoting new movie Cowboys & Aliens, the director discussed how the story of Iron Man 3 would be entirely dependent on the fall-out of the other Marvel movies coming out next year.

“Kevin Feige, who’s been involved with superhero movies with Marvel movies since the X-Men films, is very aware of his path and how to weave [things together],” says Favs.

“So in theory, Iron Man 3 is going to be a sequel or continuation of Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Avengers… This whole world… I have no idea what it is. I don’t think they do either, from conversations I’ve had with those guys.”

This much we pretty much already knew, but it’s good to hear it from the horse’s mouth.

Though Favreau is still yet to fully commit to a third Iron Man, we assume he’ll need to get started on a script soon if he wants to avoid a repeat of Iron Man 2 – which was criticised by audiences for not having a strong enough story.

Iron Man 3 is scheduled for release on 3 May, 2013.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart 'spend 12 hours having sex'

The couple, who are believed to be dating in real life, asked for more nudity while shooting the racy scene, according to Life & Style.

It was thought to have been the first of three sex scenes between Pattinson's brooding vampire hunk Edward and Stewart's human Bella.


This particular scene, which sees Edward bite down on a pillow in order to stop himself biting into Bella, takes place during their honeymoon after the couple finally get hitched.


Pattinson recently told Now magazine that filming love scenes was not erotic in any way.


'By the time you guys see the nude scenes it looks really erotic because it's been edited and you'll have the music.'


'What you don't see is the eight cameramen, the director and about 50 people on set.'


'The truth is you come out of your dressing room in a little robe and know that in a few minutes you're going to be taking it off in front of a load of people.'

George Lucas 'wants to bring James Dean back to life'

A friend of Lucas', British comedian Mel Smith, said he plans to put all the actors on a movie at the same time, using computer know-how to resurrect stars including Orson Welles, James Dean and Marilyn Monroe.

Smith, who fronted TV skit show Smith & Jones with fellow comic Griff Rhys-Jones, told The Sun Lucas is 'obsessed' with computer-generated imagery (CGI).

'George has been buying up the film rights to dead actors in the hope of using computer trickery to put them all together, so you'd have Orson Welles and Barbara Stanwyck alongside today's stars,' he said.

Lucas is an expert in CGI animation, having used the technology extensively during production on Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The film came out in 2008 and was followed by a TV series of the same name, which has been airing since then. Speaking about the series when it was first launched, Stuart Snyder, president/chief operating officer at Turner Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media, said: 'Nothing like this has ever been produced for television.' He added: 'For 30 years, Star Wars has shown that it appeals to a huge breadth of fans. The Clone Wars ... will be appointment television for everyone in the family.'

Tangled breaks Harry Potter’s spell at box office

Disney’s CGI fairytale Tangled has finally knocked Harry Potter from the box office top spot in its second week of release.

The Rapunzel-inspired yarn took $21.5m during its second weekend, dwarfing Harry Potter’s $16.7m and forcing it into second place.

Cher and Christina Aguilera glitz-fest Burlesque jumped up a spot to third with $6.1m, while Unstoppable held firm in fourth with the same. Rounding out the top five was Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal’s saucy Love And Other Drugs ($5.7m).

Meanwhile, Megamind slipped all the way from third to sixth ($5m), Due Date went up a place in seventh ($4.2m), Faster sat in eighth ($3.8m) and new opener The Warrior’s Way entered the charts in ninth with just $3m.

Rounding out the top ten, Russell Crowe’s drama The Next Three Days dropped just one place to tenth with $2.6m.

Simpsons movie sequel already has basic story

The Simpsons executive producer James L. Brooks has revealed that a basic plotline already exists for a second Simpsons movie, should the show’s team ever broach a follow-up.

Talking with Coming Soon, Brooks said that the Simpsons players have a “beginning notion” for a movie sequel, but the “series always comes first with us”.

“We're open to it,” he says about a follow-up, though he admits that the first film “was much harder than we anticipated. It took us a year to try and get to the point because we're all so scared of 'What are we going to do to the Simpsons' and 'What if the movie is no good?'”

He adds: “It was a huge success and we're very open to it and we have a beginning notion if we want to do it, but the series always comes first with us. The series is always primary to us.”

Considering The Simpsons Movie was a huge success when it opened in 2007, we’re sure 20th Century Fox are keen to get another film onto the starting blocks. But with the show still going strong in its 22nd season, it seems they’d be lucky to get a sequel any time soon…
