Russell Crowe wants a sequel to his seafaring epic 'Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World'.
The 2003 movie was based on the long running book series featuring the dashing Jack Aubrey. Crowe loved playing the character, and is desperate to reprise one of his most famous roles.
And after being bombarded by fans of the film on his Twitter page, he wrote: "If you want a 'Master and Commander' sequel I suggest you e-mail Tom Rothman at Fox and let him know your thoughts.”
And his plea to fans seems to have worked.
After being deluged by posts, a representative for the studio twittered, "Getting a lot of tweets about Master & Commander sequel, I’ll look into it (I’d love one, too, but as you all know a LOT goes into it.)”
Crowe has spoken in the past on how he would like to play Aubrey again, and even joked, "My wife wants me to make 'Master and Commander 2 - she kinda liked that costume."
