'Animal Kingdom' dominates Aus awards



Animal Kingdom has dominated at the Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards.

Various cast members of the Aussie crime movie, which saw 63-year-old actress Jacki Weaver
nominated for an Academy Award earlier this year, won gongs at the Sydney event.

Weaver was named 'Best Actress', while co-stars Ben Mendelsohn and Joel Edgerton won the 'Best Actor' and 'Best Supporting Actor' titles. Director David Michôd won 'Best Director' and the movie also was named 'Best Film'.

Essie Davis won 'Best Supporting Actress' for South Solitary and other films to receive recognition were Bran Nue Day and Beneath Hill 60.
