The Hobbit is finally to begin shooting later this month – something many of us feared would never happen – and, just in case we needed it, Ian McKellen’s got proof.
The British thesp, who’ll play Gandalf once more in Peter Jackson’s adap of the prequel to Lord Of The Rings, caught a 3D test for the film involving Martin Freeman.
Reporting on his official website, McKellen writes:
“I was visiting old friends in the Stone Street offices and heard Martin Freeman was just round the corner by the permanent greenscreen, done up as Bilbo, testing his costume in front of the 3D cameras.
“Indeed, there he was in the open air, mostly oblivious to the camera, though turning this way and that as required.”
