Black Swan and The King's Speech gained honours at the 13th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards.
The BAFTA winners were recognised in the contemporary and period design categories respectively.
Designer Jenny Beavan, who costumed Colin Firth forThe King's Speech, is also nominated for an Academy Award this year for the historical drama.
She has previously received the accolade for her work on the Helen Bonham-Carter film A Room with a View.
