Jolie and Parker highest paid actresses

Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker have topped a new list of Hollywood's highest-paid actresses.

Jolie and Parker tied for first place on Forbes magazine's countdown of the female stars who pulled in the most money between May 2010 and May 2011.

Both actresses are reported to have earned $30 million (£18.7m) over the past 12 months, with the top ten women on the list raking in a combined $218 million (£136m).

Jolie's income came from movies including Salt and The Tourist, while Parker earned from Sex and the City 2 and repeats of the TV show - which she produced - alongside her fashion and beauty lines.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon tied for third place on the list, taking home an estimated $28 million each (£17.5), while Julia Roberts and Twilight actress Kristen Stewart also ranked high with purported earnings of $20 million (£12.4m).

Forbes magazine published its list of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood in September, which Johnny Depp topped with estimated earnings of $75 million (£46m).
