Sophia Loren will be honoured by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science in May.
The Academy plans to celebrate the actress's life and career with an upcoming tribute and Q&A session at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The event, dubbed 'An Academy Tribute to Sophia Loren', will take place on May 4.
Loren won an Oscar in 1962 for her leading performance in Two Women. She received an Honorary Academy Award in 1991.
Loren previously slammed Big Brother and said that she could not understand why people spend time watching the show.
