Harry Potter all-night IMAX screenings

The seven released Harry Potter movies are to be shown across two all-nighter events, the BFI IMAX has announced.

The series based on J.K. Rowling's bestselling books will draw to a close next month when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 opens in cinemas around the world.

Harry Potter fans are now able to buy tickets for the showings in London, which will see the seven films screened on the weekends of June 17 and 18 and June 24 and 25.

The BFI IMAX has invited fans to attend in fancy dress, with prizes being awarded for the best dressed.

"We can't wait to welcome the biggest and bravest Harry Potter fans in the country to BFI IMAX. If they see every film they'll spend almost 20 hours in the company of all their favourite characters!" Justin Johnson, head of operations for BFI IMAX, said. "The atmosphere will be amazing and we're sure the fans will have no trouble at all in staying wide-awake to experience these wonderful films once again on Britain's biggest and best screen."

Tickets are on sale now. Fans will be served free tea and coffee in the 30-minute breaks during the films to help them stay awake.
